Character
- Bizou David Stripeman (Zou): Zou who is a teenager, school-age and likes to have fun, Zou, usually wears a white shirt under the yellow channel. He is the main protagonist of the show, and shows interest in many career paths. Elzee's neighbor. The plot that runs from this event is that Zou left school early in the episode. Then Zou mentioned his interest in a particular career. He was later countered by Elzee's neighbor who stated "I think you want to be (another career path)." Zou replied by saying "That was last week, now I want to be (new career path.") Voice in the US version by Kannon Gowen.
- Poc: A Quaker parakeet, and Zou's loyal friend. It is unclear whether he is considered a pet or a "person", because some anthropomorphic signs are indicated in his character, but he can not speak. Also, it seems that the conception of the event about "human" is reserved for zebras only. He lives inside what looks like a cuckoo clock in Zou's room.
- Elzee Blackhoof: Zou's next-door neighbor. At the same age as Zou, Elzee generally wore a long purple dress. His ears looked rather large, compared to other characters, and even made him a little taller than Zou. He is far more plausible than Zou and often contradicts his outrageous ideas, but still joins. She seems to have a romantic appeal to Zou, often acting embarrassed or giggling with worries as she praises him. He is a bit more tomboyish than Zinnia, and seems to enjoy football, often taking part in Zou's extravagant activities. In the English version of the show his voice is described by Roisin Gadd (Seasons 1 & amp; 2) and Maisie Jack (Season 3).
- Zinnia: Zou's cousin. He is a beginner ballerina who sometimes tends to be arrogant and trapped. She has never been seen without dance clothes and is more feminine than Elzee who is a bit more tomboyish. It seems he is the unofficial antagonist of the show. Zou does not seem to like him and often makes excuses for not playing with him. She often tries to engage Zou in strange activities such as playing girls or playing with dolls, seemingly unaware that she is not at all interested in such things. Though arrogant, Zinnia is sometimes shown to pay attention to Zou.
- Zak A. Zoey, Jr.: A vibrant and vibrant young zebra, and other Zou friends. He is a bit younger than Zou and Elzee and generally wears a red T-shirt, with what appears to be a green letter "J" on it, and khaki shorts. His father is Mr. Zoey. No mother from Zak ever mentioned.
- Dad: Zou's father. (David R. Stripeman, Jr.)
- Mum ("Mother" in US version): Zou's mother, who often calls her by her full name, "Bizou." She works at a local hospital. (Elizabeth Stripeman)
- Grandfather: Grandfather on Zou's father's side. He is a rather useful zebra, usually found in a garage, building something. (David R. Stripeman, Sr.)
- Grandma: the grandmother of Zou's father. He often finds cookies and other cookies. (Lillian Stripeman)
- Nana: Zou's great-grandmother. He often gave Zou a big, dirty kiss on the cheek. He's talented at the piano, can play theme songs of the show among other songs, and also sing. (Flora Stripeman)
- Uncle Zavier: Zinnia's father. He is a wealthy businessman and has the largest house in his neighborhood. Though you never see this on show.
- Aunt Zelda: Zinnia's mother. He runs a high-end family boutique with Uncle Xavier.
- Sir. Zoey: local shopkeeper/postman, and Zak's father. She is friendly and helpful. Zakary A. Zoey, Sr.
- Madam. Brenda Zolli: School attendant.
