Dr. Theopolis is a Portland based soul/funk band named after Dr. Theopolis of Buck Rogers in the 25th century .

The group is made up of eight members and has gained a loyal following in the Pacific Northwest. They have released two albums, The Voice of the Future (2002) and Astronomy (2004), and there are plans for the third. The bands of eight members included a dancer wearing Afro known as "Mr. Fabulous". As a full member of the band, Fabulous Master sometimes sang, but his greatest asset to the group was to rile the crowd with his dance. Like other band members, Mr. Fabulous often takes the stage by wearing various eclectic costumes, ranging from classic 70s costumes to band coats, and even halloween kids costumes.

His songs combine old school hip-hop with Ohio Players or the average style White Band funk, with a little showmanship and sound from Parliament Funk. Their most famous songs include "Sweet Love", a vivacious and passionate variation of the classic "your mother" joke. Other songs are parody of hip-hop pride, including "Pound for Pound" "Voice of the Future" (the title song for their 2002 album). Their latest album, Astronomy , includes a song titled "Hit 'em Where Their Ears Are At", a comment about the trend of snobbery and shallowness (not musical talent) in pop music.
