Spirit Halloween LLC is a seasonal retailer that supplies Halloween decorations, costumes and accessories. Founded in 1983 and based in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. In 1999, the store had 60 seasonal locations and was purchased by Spencer Gifts.

During the Halloween season, Spirit has over 1,200 storefront locations in the United States and Canada. The Spirit Halloween website is open year-round, offering in-store products online. The store carries decorations produced by Tekky Toys, Gemmy, Yu Jia, Seasonal Vision, Crazy Create, NewRaySun, and Muffid Enterprises. Many exclusive decorations for Spirit.
At the end of summer Spirit Halloween usually puts teaser videos on social media and Youtube to create excitement for new items. A few days later the videos were followed by another officially disclosing and announcing the item.
Retailers typically use an empty retail space. Shops typically operate for 60 to 90 days, open roughly in early to mid-August and usually close two or three days after Halloween.

Joe Marver created the Spirit Halloween business model, a pop-up shop that caters to Halloween party fans. Beginning with his first pop-up location at Castro Valley Mall in 1984, he developed Spirit Halloween for 60 national seasonal stores before being acquired in 1999. Today, the Halloween Spirit pop-up network is larger than any other specialty retailer in the category, with new ownership extending Marver's original concept to over 1,100 locations across North America. Spirit of Children
In 2006, Spirit launched a program called Spirit of Children to raise money in stores for children's hospitals. The program annually celebrates Halloween at the hospital location, providing costumes and decorations for the event. Since 2007, Spirit of Children has raised more than $ 29 million in donations.
