Marry Me is an American sitcom that originally aired on NBC from October 14, 2014 to February 17, 2015. The serial stars Casey Wilson and Ken Marino and broadcasted Tuesday evening at 9 pm (ET/PT)/8 pm (CT) as part of the 2014-15 television season. Marry Me was created and executives produced by David Caspe with executive producer/directors Seth Gordon and Jamie Tarses for Sony Pictures Television.

Creator of the series David Caspe loosely based his premise on his recent marriage with actress Casey Wilson, who starred as Annie. Like the previous sitcoms Caspe Happy Endings , this series is set in Chicago.

On November 5, 2014, the order of the series was upgraded to 18 episodes for its first season. On February 17, 2015, the show aired its final episode before it was removed from the schedule to allow The Voice to broadcast a two-hour episode for three weeks before Undateable took over the timeslot for the rest of the season - leaving four episodes of Marry Me without interruption. This episode then starts premiering in the UK from April 23, 2015 to May 14, 2015.

On May 8, 2015, NBC announced that it had officially canceled Marry Me after one season. All 18 episodes were finally released on the full DVD series on February 16, 2017.

Premise

This series follows what happened to the old couple - high-profile Annie (Casey Wilson) and easy-going Jake (Ken Marino) - when their highly committed relationship turned into a long and bumpy journey on the way to the altar after the question "Would you marry me?" appear. After six years together, the couple struggled with trying to decide whether the whirlwind of big fights and marriage proposals failed to forecast a catastrophe for their relationship, when instead they found a series of "signs" that they thought meant they were meant for each other.

It has been suggested that the sitcom David Caspe Happy Endings , which airs on ABC from 2011 to 2013, is in the same universe as Marry Me . Both performances are set in Chicago and Derrick, the recurring character played by Stephen Guarino, appeared on both shows.

Three of the six regular series - Casey Wilson, Ken Marino and Sarah Wright Olsen - also appeared in Happy Endings, though in different roles. John Gemberling also appeared in Happy Endings, but because his character was not named - he was only credited as 'Thief' - it is unclear whether the two characters are considered separate people. In addition, some guest stars at Marry Me - including Rob Huebel, Rob Riggle, Nat Faxon, and Ryan Hansen - also have guest appearances as different characters in Happy Endings .
