Claudia Anne Winkleman (born January 15, 1972) is a British television presenter, model, film critic, radio personality, and journalist, known for his work with the BBC.
Between 2004 and 2010, Winkleman presented Strictly Come Dancing: Takes Two on an evening show on BBC Two. Since 2010, she has participated with Strictly Come Dancing ' main results shown on Sunday night with Tess Daly on BBC One and since 2014 has been a co-host with Daly on live performance Saturday night, due to the departure of Sir Bruce Forsyth. He has twice been nominated for the BAFTA TV Awards for Best Entertainment Performance for his work on Strictly Come Dancing .
Winkleman is also a presenter of the film... replacing Jonathan Ross after moving to ITV in 2010. He is a presenter of Let's Sing and Dance for the first time in two series with Steve Jones. Since April 2013, he has presented the BBC Two series of The Great British Sewing Bee. She is the highest paid woman in the BBC's salary.

Winkleman was born in London to a Jewish family, the daughter of Eve Pollard, former editor of Sunday Express, and Barry Winkleman (born 1939), former publisher of The World Atlas of the World. His parents divorced when he was aged three years, and the two remarried in 1979. Raised in Hampstead, London, Winkleman was educated at the City of London School for Girls and New Hall, Cambridge, obtaining a Master of Arts in Art History.

Television career
1991-2000
In 1992, he began appearing frequently in the long-running BBC series Holiday , and this continued throughout the mid-1990s. It culminated in a special documentary where he traveled the world for 34 days reporting from Japan, India, Costa Rica and Dubai. 2001-2006
Winkleman's first major television work was in 2001, at a regional discussion program Central Weekend . Between 2002 and 2004, Winkleman started his first daily TV role when he hosted the BBC's "Entertainment Entertainment" renewal event Liquid News, taking over from Christopher Price at the now dead BBC Choice. He shares the task of presenting with Colin Paterson, and then Paddy O'Connell. The show features celebrity interviews.
In 2003, Fame Academy named Winkleman to present the daily update event on BBC Three, along with its second series. He repeated the show in 2005 for a much shorter celebrity version of Comic Relief Does Fame Academy . Also in 2005, Winkleman co-hosted The House of Tiny Tearaways, a reality TV show BBC Three. 2007-2012
Recently, Winkleman has presented a number of prime time programs. In 2007, he took over from Cat Deeley as the main host for the third series Comic Relief Does Fame Academy, co-hosting with Patrick Kielty. He hosted the 2007 Eurovision Dance Contest with Graham Norton for BBC One in September of that year and again in 2008. He co-hosted the British selection process for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest called Eurovision: Your Decision me, this time accompanied by Eurovision supporter Terry Wogan. In March 2008, Winkleman rekindled his partnership with Kielty when the couple hosted the last leg of Sport Relief 2008 .
In 2007, Winkleman was the face of Sky Movie Premiere's coverage of the 79th Academy Awards, repeating it for the 80th Academy Awards in 2008. The event was broadcast live simultaneously with the ceremony itself, running through the night until the early hours of the morning. Winkleman has made many guest appearances on the panel and talk shows, including: Do not Think Buzzcocks , Will I Lie to You? , Have I Got the News for You , Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and Lily Allen and Friends . Strictly Come Dancing
Through his work on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two that Winkleman has gained the most common recognition. The program, started in 2004, is designed as a companion event to run alongside the second series of Strictly Come Dancing , and continues to this day. It follows a format similar to what Winkleman made popular on Fame Academy , and watched the presenter deliberate and dissect the intricacies of the main competition, accompanied by various dance experts, guests and various competitors themselves. The show is aired every weekday throughout the event series at 6:30 pm on BBC Two. Four judges of the event also appear regularly in this program.
In 2012, it was announced that ZoÃÆ'à «Ball will be a regular presenter of Strictly Come Dancing: It Take Two, with Winkleman's involvement in Series 10 of the show limited to co-hosting results Sunday night performing with Tess Daly. On May 8, 2014, it was announced that Winkleman would replace Bruce Forsyth as the presenter's representative, with Tess Daly, from the main Strictly Come Dancing show for the twelfth series.

Winkleman began his journalistic career as a travel writer, with columns about his various visits around the world. He does it in The Sunday Times and The Independent, but also contributes to the free daily London newspaper Metro in the same capacity. As his television and family career evolved, he traveled less, and began writing more general work, lifestyle journalism sparked opinions about femininity, sex, and relationships. He writes for Cosmopolitan and Tatler among others. Between 2005 and 2008, he wrote a regular weekly column for The Independent called Take It From Me .

In April and May 2008, Winkleman performed a six-part comedy series that took a humorous look into celebrity gossip this week, called Hot Gossip . The show was broadcast on Saturday afternoon on BBC Radio 2; points are given to those who get rid of the dirt. The show features many famous experts, including Will Smith, Phil Nichol, Jo Caulfield, Rufus Hound and brother Jonathan Ross, Paul.
He organizes weekly events on BBC Radio 2 every Friday night between 10 pm and midnight called Claudia Winkleman Art Performance which consists of interviews with people from the art world, as well as reviews and debates. In July 2010, Winkleman sat down for Dermot O'Leary. She covers for Ken Bruce on three occasions during 2012 and 2013.
She currently presents her own Sunday night show on BBC Radio 2 called Claudia on Sunday from 7-9pm. In June 2017, Winkleman closed for Steve Wright in the Evening from 2 to 5 pm.
Charity and other work
In 2007, he married a phone in BT Tower for the Disaster Emergency Committee in response to problems in Darfur. In May 2007, he helped relaunch the National Disappeared Campaign, and also supported the Christmas campaign by the Protection Foundation, which aims to stop domestic violence.
In June 2008, Winkleman was featured in Heatless magazine without makeup, as part of his stance against the overpowering of prominent women, whom he described as "terrible".
On March 18, 2011, Winkleman was one of the BBC Comic Relief presenters. In 2012, he became one of the judges and host of a short film at the British Film Institute, which as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, encourages young people aged 14-25 to engage in filmmaking.
Personal life
In 2000, Winkleman married film producer Kris Thykier in Westminster, London. They live in Connaught Square Westminster and have three children named Matilda, Jake, and Arthur.
On October 31, 2014, Winkleman's eight-year-old daughter, Matilda, was taken to the hospital after being seriously injured when her Halloween costume was on fire. Winkleman stated that the costume was brushed with a candle. Winkleman was later replaced by ZoÃÆ'à «Ball as the host of Strictly Come Dancing for three weeks. This incident prompted the government to tighten flame retardant standards from Halloween costumes.
